2025, the first organic vintage: a new chapter begins!

Château Roc de Calon is now certified organic ! A wonderful reward after three years of conversion and thirty years of sustainable viticulture in our vineyards.

Great news for our vineyards

Since 2022, we have embarked on an exciting journey: converting to organic farming.
Three years of work, observation, and adaptation were necessary (An estate)
Today, we are proud to announce that the 2025 vintage of Château Roc de Calon is officially organic certified.
This certification extends a long-standing commitment: we have always practiced sustainable viticulture, respecting the soil, the vines, and the environment.

“Organic farming became an obvious choice, a natural continuation of our commitments alongside Élodie, my wife and CEO of the Château, and the entire team,” says Thomas Laydis, owner of the estate.

A sincere and committed approach

Going organic is not just a trend.
It’s a way of rethinking our work, giving meaning to every gesture, and putting nature at the heart of our decisions.
The history of the estate is one of a deep connection to nature: before becoming a winemaker and planting the first vines, Théophile Marcelou was a nurseryman. This respect for life, passed down through generations and deeply rooted in the family’s DNA, continues to guide the way the vineyard is cared for.

Working differently

Converting to organic viticulture has transformed our daily work: Less reliance on products, more time in the vineyards. This new rhythm has given more meaning to our work, bringing us closer to the land and to life itself.
