September 2025
On Saturday, September 6th, the Vélotour route passed through our estate for the very first time.
More than 2,100 cyclists visited us over the course of the day, sharing their good spirits while discovering our story and our wines.
A true milestone for the Vignobles Laydis, perfectly reflecting the friendly and joyful spirit of the Vélotour, and our desire to open our doors.
Between two pedal strokes, participants enjoyed a well-deserved break at the Château.
On the agenda for this stop, during which our entire team was on hand :
Guided tours of the estate led by Thomas Laydis, owner of the vineyard, offering an immersion into four generations of history, the DNA of the property, and the secrets behind the making of Château Roc de Calon wines.
A gourmet break in the heart of the vines with local delicacies from regional producers.
A tasting of our emblematic cuvée, Château Roc de Calon, 2020, hosted by Denis, our winemaker, who shared his expert advice.
Vignobles Laydis was one of the must-see stops, featured on both of the routes offered by the Vélotour.
The estate delivered a unique experience to all participants.
Élodie and Thomas Laydis, together with the whole team, were on hand to welcome visitors and make the day unforgettable.
This event shows that Château Roc de Calon is full of energy, constantly exploring new ideas to offer ever richer and friendlier experiences.
“It’s the first time we’ve welcomed so many visitors to the estate,” explains Élodie Laydis, Managing Director.
“It was a real challenge, but we received so much positive feedback. Hosting or creating this type of event is an important part of our various development projects. And when I see the smiles on our team’s and the participants’ faces, it gives this whole adventure real meaning.”
The entire Château Roc de Calon team would like to thank the many cyclists who came to discover the estate by bike for a day.
Thank you for your curiosity, your smiles, and your energy. You made this day an unforgettable memory!
See you soon for more upcoming events.
