The top Cuvee from the property offers a nose with flowers, plums, chocolate, licorice and smoke in the perfume. Lush, round, soft and polished, the wine is loaded with sweet red berries from start to finish, leaving with a nice sweetness of the fruit, espresso, mint and dark cocoa. You can enjoy this on release but it should be better with a year or two of age.
Pretty nose of plums, currants, dried roses and hazelnuts. Medium-bodied, juicy and creamy with fine tannins. Delicious finish. Drink or hold.
Beautiful floral intensity in the Ecrin bouquet. Inviting nuances of violets and chalky notes, followed by scents of cherries and blackberries. Lots of finesse! On the palate, the wine is fresh, compact and well supported by its fine-grained tannins. Good fruity persistence on the finish. A wine to discover!
The nose is spicy and offers juicy / fresh fruit as well as a fine and well controlled power. It reveals notes of juicy wild blackberries, wild small fruits and slightly pepper associated with a touch of cinnamon, bright wild strawberries as well as hints of small blue fruits, licorice and a fine hint of spices. The palate is fruity, tight, precise, gourmand and offers juiciness, suavity, freshness, minerality as well as a fine airy touch in the approach. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy cassis, pulpy / juicy Boysenberry and more slightly of wild strawberry associated with touches of spices, nutmeg, licorice, a hint of cornflower as well as very fine hints of vanilla and toasted hazelnut (in the background). Tannins are fine, precise and supple. Good length. Sapidity / a fine salinity on the end of the mouth / persistence.

Presentation
This wine is the jewel of the estate: a premium vintage made from grapes selected from our best plots and terroirs, to keep only the best berries. Separate vinification in small stainless-steel vats and barrel ageing combined with ageing in amphora and jars.
This wine is delicate, elegant, complex... Perfect for cellaring for ten years or more, but also a quicker approach for the more impatient!

The vintage
The 2019 vintage follows in the footsteps of recent great Bordeaux vintages. The winter was surprisingly mild, followed by a rather cool spring. Summer was hot, but the rain came at just the right time on several occasions: in July and August, then a few showers in early September. These rains were a lifesaver, keeping the grapes fresh and energized before harvest.
